SAM KATZ is gettin' around.
The four-legged furry feline is the main character of a new children's
book, "Sam Katz on the Loose," about the adventures of a cat who jumps inside paintings when his owners aren't home.
The
book, written by Frank and Vida Radice and illustrated by Charles Fazzino, has just been published by Random House. Its main
character was not inspired by three-time Republican mayoral candidate Sam Katz.
However, Sam, the human, is looking
forward to reading the book, which he's already ordered from amazon.com.
"Since the first Tuesday in November 2003,
the 'real' Sam Katz has been anything but on the loose," says the two-legged Katz, who regrets that his four children "are
too old now to sit in my lap and have me read to them."
While he was happy to talk about the cat book, he was not so
keen on discussing whether he's considering another mayoral run in 2007. "I don't have much to say about that," Katz meowed.
